We are currently experiencing delays with this piece, therefore 12 week minimum lead time** Handcrafted using traditional methods, this charming console table works well on both traditional and modern rustic settings. This range is made from 100% solid plantation mahogany and has undergone a finishing process to recreate antique sun bleached scrubbed furniture. Due to the hand ageing process there are deliberate ageing marks, uneven surfaces, differing grain colours and levels of bleaching. There will be knots and variations in colour, which add to the character of each piece.

As will all wood, it continues to live on and is best not placed in direct sunlight or next to heat sources such as radiators. In dry centrally heated houses it will expand and contract and, over time, this may cause splits and warping to the timber, especially on the tops of tables just as originals have done over the decades.

The scrubbed mahogany wood has an unsealed natural finish, so if you have a spillage the manufacturer suggests cleaning with a damp cloth. For stubborn stains, use a mixture of 1/3 bleach, 1/3 cover (plant based) detergent and 1/3 water and very gently clean the are while being careful not to scrub too hard, which could reveal the red mahogany timber beneath.

Alternatively, you can choose to seal it with a timber treatment oil/sealant to protect it from spills and stains.
